The Cases:
CASE 1: Financial Services Technology
Reinventing the mortgage banking industry
How can digital solutions transform the way people finance their homes? In this case, you will work with real-world challenges from the mortgage banking sector and develop innovative, tech-driven solutions that improve customer experience, efficiency, and risk management.
The case is designed to be manageable within a single day, with structured data, and focused deliverables. You will receive all necessary background material and guidance, allowing you to quickly get started and concentrate on developing practical solutions.
CASE 2: Applied Artificial Intelligence
Solving UN Sustainable Development Goals through AI
How can artificial intelligence be used to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges? In this case, you will explore how AI and data-driven solutions can support selected UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as climate action, health, education, and inequality.
The case is designed to be completed within a single day, with a focused scope, clearly defined objectives, and accessible datasets. You will receive relevant background material and practical tools, allowing you to quickly move from idea to solution.
Please note: You can apply for multiple cases – but you will only be assigned one of them on the case day.

We are happy to announce Accenture as our Spring 2026 case name. This year’s case competition will invite all students at Aalborg University to participate in our case competition tailored to challenge all participants. It is free to participate and food and drinks will be provided doing the competition.
