The Cases:
CASE 1: TECHNOLOGY
How can Vestas stay innovative while simultaneously maintaining efficient development processes?
Software engineers are responsible for a wide range of tasks—from fixing bugs and writing new features to reviewing code and ensuring best practices. This leaves limited time for creative problem- solving, as much of their effort is spent on repetitive or administrative tasks.
CASE 2: BUSINESS AND ARCHITECTURE
How can Vestas break down the silos and coordinate across specialized areas while minimizing inefficiencies and communication gaps?
In the dynamic world of wind turbine production, Vestas has recently consolidated all IT functions into a single powerhouse – Digital Solutions. While this product-focused structure offers deep expertise, it introduces a critical challenge: Launching new services or applications that require seamless collaboration across multiple teams.
CASE 3: PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATION
How can employees feel a sense of belonging and growth within both their specialized group and the Product Teams they serve?
Vestas is an organization where product teams are composed of members from cross-functional specialized groups that focus on diverse areas. While this ensures deep expertise, challenges arise in balancing individual growth, specialized group objectives, and product delivery.
Please note: You can apply for multiple cases – but you will only be assigned one of them on the case day.
You will receive more information about the cases on the day. Above encases the main theme of the cases, so you know a bit about what to choose.
